Eating Out in FloridaBy Jean HighEATING OUT IN FLORIDAEating out in Florida is something of an experience, whether you decide on the all time favourite like KFC or the “ Burger “ there is even several burger places to pick from besides the usual Burger King, Wendy’s burgers are good, or go for the more formal dining experience there is something to suit all tastes. some of the more popular restaurants is the “ all you can eat “ ones they are such good value and with a range of foods to suit everybody, especially if you have Kids as most of these say that Kids eat free ! a good help to the budget and allows you more spending money for other things ! one of my favourites is The Golden Coral , if you have one of their breakfasts it sets you up for the day, there are lots similar to this like Ponderosa and Sizlers ( here they boast of having the largest salad bar, with over 100 different items ) Western steer, Shoneys and many, many others. As for proper restaurants there is Bennigans, their Death by chocolate is certainly to “Die” for, Perkins , Denny’s, or The Outback, steak houses by the dozen, makes you wonder if that’s all the American think us Brits do all day ! ( yummy ! ) For an excellent steak I love the “ Butchers shop ! anyone who has been there will tell you that they didn’t realise steaks came that big !! For Lobster you can’t beat the Red Lobster my hubbie always has a steak with his ! I don’t know how he manages it ! The lists just go on and on. If you have a sweet tooth The Cheesecake factory in the Mall of Millennia takes some beating and for a quick snack I love Johnny Rockets. Race rock is good for something a little different. A great one to try also is the Cracker barrel, here they combine a restaurant with a shop the gifts are wonderful, I stocked up with several Christmas presents from here, you order your table and then wander round the shop while you are waiting, or if some of the men are fed up with shopping there are rocking chairs out the front where you can just sit and watch the world go by until they call you for your meal. Then there are the Dinner shows, all well worth a visit. The Pirates dinner show is great if you have any children with you as they involve them in the show, a great laugh, the food is average but the entertainment is very good. Dolly Partons Dixie stampede is the latest edition to the dinner shows and was really well worth seeing the music and entertainment excellent and makes a nice evening out especially if you like horses, this goes for the Arabian Nights show too a must for all the horse lovers. There is also a Murder Mystery evening called SLEUTHS, that’s my next one to try. -> Search for Vacation Ideas articles similar to "Eating Out in Florida".
